The film begins after their successful mission on the Greek island of Navarone. Major Keith Mallory and Sergeant John Miller are sent to find and kill Nicolai. Nicolai is a dedicated German spy believed to have infiltrated the Yugoslav Partisans as “Captain Lescovar”
